ENGLISH CONVERSATIONS
An important part of our English programmes is that our learners can practice English with our guest speakers from different countries who use English as a medium of communication for their work and study.
An important part of our English programmes is that our learners can practice English with our guest speakers from different countries who use English as a medium of communication for their work and study.
The overall purpose of our English conversations is to help learners to use the vocabulary and expressions in the worksheets, to develop their pronunciation, fluency, and confidence, and to meet you, get to know you, be exposed to a different culture and develop their intercultural competency.
- Our programme coordinator will support you to choose the times that suit you and our learners. A timetable will be shared with you, in which you can see:
(a) learners' information,
(b) conversation topics and worksheets,
(c) meeting dates and times,
(d) a space where you will enter the Zoom links that you will create for your meetings with individual learners, and
(e) a space to which you will upload the meeting recordings.
- Contact: Erik Ha ([email protected])
- Our academic coordinator will support you with any of your questions and suggestions about the conversation topics and worksheets.
- Contact: Mary Thao Hoang ([email protected])
You will record each meeting and upload the recordings to our shared space. This will be very helpful for all of us to see our learners' performance and development and to provide them with further support when necessary.
- Contact: Erik Ha ([email protected])
- After having met with the learners, if possible, you will leave some comments on what you enjoyed, what the learners did well, what they'd need to practice further, and/or anything else you think will be helpful to them.
- If you have any feedback and suggestions for us to do our job better, that'd be gratefully received.
